During this time of gratitude and thanks-giving, most of us may be thinking about what we are grateful for. We may be encouraged to make lists, spend time thinking about what brings us joy, the people in our lives, all the things for which we have to give thanks. You may think about your family, your friends, your home, perhaps other small little joys that come up throughout the day.
Focusing on gratitude is important for our health1, and not only at a specific time of the year. Sharing with others, saying it out loud, writing it all down- these are all great practices and should be continued to the best of our ability.
Some weeks ago I wrote about how when we have the privilege to appreciate something, we have the responsibility to appreciate it. I’m wondering if gratitude is any different.
